Explore Ijen Vulcano
Embark on a midnight hike to the mysterious Mount Ijen, one of only two places in the world where you can witness the rare blue fire phenomenon. Guided by torchlight, you’ll trek through the darkness to the edge of the crater.
If conditions allow, you can descend into the crater to see the electric-blue flames up close and watch local sulfur miners at work. As the sun rises, you’ll be rewarded with a surreal view: a glowing turquoise acid lake surrounded by dramatic volcanic cliffs.
